David Diner

David J. Diner received the B.S. degree in physics with honors from the State University of New York at Stony Brook in 1973 and the M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in planetary science from the California Institute of Technology in 1977 and 1978, respectively. He has been an employee of the Jet Propulsion Laboratory since 1981 and is currently a Senior Research Scientist in the Earth Science Section. He has been involved in numerous NASA planetary and Earth remote-sensing investigations, and is the recipient of both the NASA Outstanding Leadership and Exceptional Achievement medals. He is Principal Investigator of the Multi-angle Imaging SpectroRadiometer (MISR), the Ground-based and Airborne Multiangle SpectroPolarimetric Imagers (GroundMSPI/AirMSPI/AirMSPI-2), and the Multi-Angle Imager for Aerosols (MAIA), and is a member of the American Geophysical Union and the IEEE Geoscience and Remote Sensing Society.
